Snorkeling and Diving

Snorkel and Dive
Snorkeling is a must as on our beach, you will often meet giant turtles and colorful fish swimming about in the warm, crystal clear turquoise lagoon.
Snorkeling equipment are provided by the hotel if you forgot yours. It’s on the other side of the road…
Enjoy and protect the nature: PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THE GIANT TURTLES.

A diving Center is very close to the hotel, just ask at the reception.

Surf Paradise Island

Surfing:
Madiha lies one of Sri Lanka’s best kept surf secrets: Turtle Point. It is only 300 m from the hotel.
Madiha offer all year a boarding paradise – where you catch the best waves. Specially Left but also Right. Madiha’s pristine water and coral reefs without hazards but friendly large turtles.
Local are very friendly and can help for boards hire or lessons.
Wave quality are rated 4/5 on most updated surf website.
At Turtle Eco Beach you can observe the tide from the terrace or directly on the beach to enjoy the good timing !

Surf board can be hired for Lkr 1000. According to availability.

Surf lessons:
We can arrange Surf instructor : 90 minutes lessons including surf boards and transport by tuk tuk to instructor spot choice (Weligama, Mirissa or Madiha)according to wind, tide, swell. For beginners and all surf lovers !
Booking one day in advance is welcome ! 3500 LKR all included

If you want to go on your own to Weligama Bay and Mirissa beach, :
Do not hesitate to rent an in-house scooter with surf rack!

Bicycles are available for FREE at Turtle Eco Beach hotel.

Rent a Scooter
We do rent scooters for Lkr 1.000 per day. You can enjoy strolling around the small roads of the village and have a very nice jogging early morning along our beach. If needed our scooters can be specially fitted with a surf board holder.
